The United States Department of Labor (DOL) has recently issued federal regulations implementing statutory changes to the Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA), a new FMLA poster and new certification forms. The statutory changes increase the coverage under the FMLA for military families and allow airline attendants to avail themselves of the FMLA's protections. The revisions include, for example:
All covered employers are required to display and keep displayed a poster prepared by the DOL summarizing the major provisions of FMLA and telling employees how to file a complaint. The poster must be displayed in a conspicuous place where employees and applicants for employment can see it. Comply with the FLMA and post a revised FMLA notice today.
